Tech Problems with PI Blog Subscriptions Resolved

ADColeman selfie, 9-1-23Your Subscription Has Renewed

When I initiated this blog in 2009, I used Google’s Feedburner for subscription fulfillment — it would send out email announcements of new posts. That system worked fine for years. Then, last year, Feedburner changed its system in a way that excluded this blog, so I was advised to switch over to an alternative, follow.it, earlier this year. I did an online step-by-step transition that seemed to work fine. However, for reasons unclear, follow.it dropped many of my original subscribers over the past year.

follow.it logoI’ve now worked this out with tech support at follow.it, successfully importing all previous confirmed Photocritic International subscribers into the blog’s follow.it database. If you have received this email, it means that your previous subscription has automatically renewed; henceforth you should receive email notices of new posts and snippets thereof in your inbox as they go live online. Clicking on the snippet’s headline will take you to the full post at the blog.

If, over the past year, you resubscribed via the subscription widget in the left-hand column of the blog page, you may now receive two such notices. You can simply unsubscribe to either one and still receive the other. Use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the email for that.

And of course, as always, you can unsubscribe completely at any time using that link at the bottom of each email notice.

Apologies for any inconvenience this tech glitch has caused.

All 2023 Posts

In case you wondered whether I’d died, gone to ground, or dropped off the face of the earth this year, the answer is no. I’ve published periodic new posts; they just didn’t reach you as intended.

Serving Your Photocriticism Needs Since 1968I haven’t hewed to my approximately weekly schedule for posts this year, due to preoccupation with practical matters relating to our summer 2022 move upstate and the resulting reorganization of our living situation.

However, I did publish some two dozen posts over that period. If you want to catch up with what you missed, click here. This link will take you to a page in the blog from which you can access all past 2023 posts, the most recent first. Just scroll down to access the archived posts.

Special offer: If you want me to either continue pursuing a particular subject or give you a break and (for one post) write on a topic — my choice — other than the current main story, make a donation of $50 via the PayPal widget below, indicating your preference in a note accompanying your donation. I’ll credit you as that new post’s sponsor, and link to a website of your choosing.

And, as a bonus, I’ll send you a signed copy of my new book, poetic license / poetic justice — published under my full name, Allan Douglass Coleman, which I use for my creative writing.
