\"Internationales<\/a>A selection of a dozen images from \u201cThe Silent Strength of Liu Xia,\u201d the touring exhibition of photographs by the dissident Chinese photographer, artist, and poet, were included in “Visible and Invisible Prisons,” a group show that was part of the\u00a012th International Literary Festival Berlin<\/a>, held in the\u00a0Haus der Berliner Festspiele<\/a>\u00a0from September 4-16. This marked the first exhibition of Liu Xia’s work in Germany.<\/p>\n

\"Berliner<\/a>In addition to a group of Liu Xia’s photographs, the show included works by four other notable contributors to contemporary Chinese\u00a0culture: the artists\u00a0Ai Weiwei<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Meng Huang<\/a>,\u00a0writer Liao Yiwu<\/a>, and Tibetan photographer Tsering Dorjee<\/a>.\u00a0Guy Sorman<\/a>, who instigated this Liu Xia project, attended the opening on the evening of September 3. The Haus der Berliner Festspiele\u00a0is located at\u00a0Schaperstra\u00dfe 24, 10719 Berlin.<\/p>\n
